Author Event - Cheshire

Hello Everyone

My how the time flies.  I can't believe it's the 1st of May!  Here in France it's a holiday, and there's a tradition of selling Lily of the Valley (muguet in French) at roadside stalls.  I've got some in my garden and I'm looking forward to seeing it shortly.

I'll be at Helsby Library in Cheshire next Tuesday the 7th for a reading and Q&A session from 5.30 p.m. to 6.45 p.m.  Do drop in if you are in the area - the event is free.

Christmas Greetings and a Happy New Year

The holiday season is now upon us.  Still a couple of presents for me to buy, but I'm getting there!  I always like to buy a couple of books for friends and family.

I've had a busy year promoting the Thornhill Secret and had great successes at the book signings.  Many thanks to those of you who I met and for supporting my work, whether it was buying the book, passing on my website address, handing out some flyers/leaflets or letting me do a book signing - Merci beaucoup à tous!

The Thornhill Secret comes to Brussels

Dear Readers

I'll be in Brussels this Saturday 29th September for two author events: Reading/Q&A session/signing at Waterstones Bookstore from 3-5 p.m. and then at Le Meridien Hotel (Hub coffee bar) from 6.30-8 p.m for a signing.

Both of these events are free, so please do come along.  Please let me know if you are attending using the contact form on this website.

Have a great week and hope to see you in Brussels.

Book signings in Cheshire

Hello,

I'm preparing for my trip to the UK this weekend (laptop in tow!)  I have two book signings during my visit to Cheshire (25th August in Altrincham and 1st September in Chester).  For further details on the Waterstones website:www.watersones.com(Events)

I really enjoyed the Olympics and so proud of Team GB.  I thought the Opening and Closing Ceremonies were great!

I'm just about to start reading Dean Koontz's new book - 77 Shadow Street.

Book 2 Update and upcoming signings

Greetings!

Work on Book 2 is progressing well and sparks have been flying from my computer keys!  A snippet of news - one of the locations featured in my next Book will be in Geneva, Switzerland (a place dear to my heart as I spent many happy years living there).  I'm having great fun at the moment visiting the lovely places in this charming Swiss city.  Lake Leman (often called Lake Geneva, but it extends also to France) is a magnet for people enjoying the lovely warm weather that we've had these past few days.

The Thornhill Secret in California!

My book (paperback and e-book versions) will be featured at the upcoming American Library Association's (ALA) Annual Exhibition from June 22-25.The ALA will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

Have a good weekend.

Book Signings in North-West England

My recent signings in Birkenhead and Liverpool were a great success.  The staff at Waterstones were fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting readers.  A very big thank you to everyone who came along and contributed to the two successful days.

I'll be back in England at the end of August for more signings, so check the Book Signings 2012 page later for dates/times and locations.

Have a good week.

The Thornhill Secret comes to New York!

Hello Everyone

Just a mention that my book (paperback and e-book versions) will be featured at the Book Expo America (BEA) Exhibition in the New Title Showcase section.

BEA will be held from June 5 to 7 at the Javets Convention Center, New York City.

World Book Night

Time to celebrate our love of books!

I've just finished reading "and the band played on" by Christopher Ward, an extraordinary story the author has written about his grandfather who was one of the musicians who sadly died on theTitanic. It was absolutely brilliant. I couldn't put it down and would highly recommend it.

My next read is a book called "The Wicked Wit of Charles Dickens" which looks at his professional as well as personal life.  It also includes extracts from some of his novels which show his witty sense of humour.
